Coatzacoalcos, Ver., 24 de febrero de 2017.- El muro que deben de derrumbar los mexicanos no es el que quiere construir Donald Trump, sino es el muro de la corrupción, aquella que mantiene a políticos y funcionarios corruptos como el exgobernador de Veracruz, Javier Duarte, sin poder ser atrapado por la justicia, expresó la exprimera dama del país y aspirante a la presidencia de México, Margarita Zavala durante la conferencia titulada “México de la indignación a la acción”, la cual impartió en el 1er. Sobre el tema de la corrupción señaló que antes de la población, los funcionarios deben exigirse responsabilidad y evitar ser corruptos, aunque aclaró que hay gente “transparentemente corrupta”, comentó que el funcionamiento de sus asociaciones civiles son movidas con recursos de la iniciativa privada, no del dinero público. Dijo que el dinero no solo sirve para corromper, sino para sacar lo mejor de uno mismo, destacó que necesitamos de líderes honestos y quien quebrante la ley, quien sea corrupto vaya a la cárcel. Instó a los jóvenes a tomar buenas decisiones y ayudar a que México no se le conozca por sus males sino por la fuerza de sus jóvenes, porque es un gran país.
Después de su ponencia que duró 20 minutos aproximadamente, abrió los micrófonos para preguntas de los estudiantes; en este tiempo declaró estar de acuerdo con la Reforma Energética, aclaró que la situación de Pemex no fue generada por esta, sino por el abandono que sufrió la empresa durante años además de la corrupción y que si la Reforma se hubiera aprobado en el sexenio de Calderón “otra cosa hubiera sido”.
