Xalapa, Ver., 15 de noviembre de 2016.- Alto Lucero se encuentra preparado para los festejos en honor a Cristo Rey, del 18 al 20 de noviembre, en los que, además de divertirse con un completo programa para toda la familia, los visitantes podrán conocer y disfrutar la oferta turística del municipio, informó la Secretaría de Turismo y Cultura (SECTUR).
La Fiesta Patronal de Cristo Rey es una de las más vistosas que se llevan a cabo en la región, no sólo por el fervor, sino por la confección de un magnífico tapete adornado con motivos tradicionales y por conjuntar actividades recreativas, deportivas, culturales, artísticas y religiosas, como carreras, vaquilladas, exposiciones, foros y conciertos.
El evento inicia este viernes con la coronación de la reina y princesas, amenizada por el imitador de Juan Gabriel, la Tuna Femenil de la Universidad Veracruzana (UV) y la representación teatral Sinfonía Melancólica: Resuello en Tres Actos.
El sábado, se celebrará la carrera Correr es pura vida, a las 09:00 horas, para dar paso a la exhibición de gallitos miniatura, 30 minutos más tarde, en la explanada del Parque Municipal; a las 11:00, saliendo de la localidad Mesa de Guadalupe, comienza la tradicional cabalgata hacia la cabecera municipal.
A las 15:30, visitantes y pobladores se divertirán con el gran papaqui; a las cinco de la tarde inicia el espectáculo de caballos bailadores en el Campo La Higuera, y a las ocho de la noche una función de box en la Cancha Municipal.
También a las 20:00 horas, se rendirá un homenaje a la cantante oriunda de esa tierra, Paquita la del Barrio, con un concierto en el que estará acompañada de mariachi, banda y la Internacional Sonora Santanera, en el Campo Deportivo.
El programa concluye el domingo 20, con una carrera de caballos a las tres de la tarde y rodeo-baile con El Yaki, exvocalista de la Banda El Recodo, en el Campo La Higuera.
La tradicional misa solemne se caracteriza por el gran número de devotos que reúne, turistas y casi todos los habitantes del municipio que encabezan, al finalizar la eucaristía, una procesión; estas actividades son superadas en cantidad de participantes sólo por las festividades de Semana Santa.
Después, los vecinos de los barrios instalan grandes comedores públicos, ofreciendo las delicias de su gastronomía tradicional, como las enchiladas alteñas, el chile pepita, el mangar de masa, los dulces típicos y el toronjil.
